Trust Officer | Franklin Templeton Investments | Salt Lake City, UT

Were currently looking for qualified candidates to join our winning team.
  • Provide account administration services for FTB&T personal trusts.
  • Consult with financial advisors, clients and other interested parties.
  • Establish and continuously review quality control standards. Responsible for trust department research and reporting. Manage relationships and ensure compliance with trust regulations.

You will be primarily responsible for the following:
  • Review and evaluate trust documents and administer accounts according to the terms of the trust.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with FAs, clients, beneficiaries and other interested parties.
  • Respond to general trust relation questions from financial advisors, clients, beneficiaries, etc.
  • Respond to inbound trust inquiries
  • Proactive outbound calling to provide the highest level of customer service to existing clients.
  • Process transactions and review for accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, regulations and laws by adhering to operating policies and procedures.
  • Providing recommendations for changes to policies and/or procedures.
  • Continuously review quality control standards and recommend solutions to issues.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and provide recommendations
  • Provide research on trusts
  • Coordinate trust reporting
  • Other projects as assigned

We look for:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of State and Federal trust regulations.
  • Experience with mutual fund industry and financial advisor channel preferred.
  • 5 years of personal trust experience
  • Financial Services experience, preferred
  • Ability to operate a personal computer and related software
  • Microsoft Office skills: Advanced:Excel, Word, Access
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with persons contacted in the course of performing assigned duties
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain updated knowledge of procedures, products and activities of assigned area
  • Ability to adhere/respond to established time frames and schedules
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and analyses
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment consistent with department guidelines

PROBLEM SOLVING AND DECISION MAKING:
  • Work is performed under very general direction; participates in determining objectives of assignment; work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting objectives
  • Develops solutions to a variety of problems; ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives
